BIOGRAPHY

Heidi Lewandowski (a.k.a Kaleema) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer,
producer and vocalist from Buenos Aires based in Berlin.
Over the past 10 years of her solo career, she has become a leading female
figure in the Latin American electronic scene. Her two studio albums
“Nómada” (2017) and “Útera” (2021), have both been critically acclaimed by
NPR, Billboard, Rolling Stone, Noisey and more.

Kaleema’s compositions combine academic sophistication with
an exquisite sound architecture, drawn from her training in
classical piano and violin combined with her experience studying
intensive electronic music production in New York City. Her
music incorporates the folklore of her native Latin America
along with modern infuences like dub, hip hop and experimental
music. These unique soundscapes take seemingly diverse
infuences and put them in an organic and natural atmosphere,
with foating feminine vocals that invite the audience to enjoy
both while relaxing as well as on the dance foor.

As a solo artist, Kaleema has performed at some of the most
renowned international electronic stages such as Lollapalooza
Chile, MUTEK Montréal, Primavera Sound Buenos Aires, Fusion
Festival in Germany, and Garbicz in Poland. She has also toured
for seven years as the front woman for Argentine producer
Chancha Via Circuito as lead vocalist and multi instrumentalist,
performing at iconic festivals such as Roskilde, Ozora, Pan Am
Games Toronto, Trans Musicales, amongst many others.

Kaleema works as a mentor, producer and professor, focused on
an agenda of activism for gender inclusion and equality in the
creative industries.

She is currently recording her much anticipated third album to
be released on Wonderwheel Recordings 2024.
